Spring/Summer DICKENS TAVERN PATIO Concert Series

Drea Van Allen is a singer, songwriter, harmonicist, percussionist, guitarist, storyteller, and blues woman who began playing harmonica in late 2010. In years past Drea was in a successful blues duo called, Slidin’ Delta. Since 2016, Drea has been pursuing a solo career which took her all over the USA in 2016. Some notable gigs include, teaching a workshop at the Society and Advancement for the Preservation of the Harmonica (Texas), Ground Zero Blues Club (Mississippi), V-Club as an opener for the country band, Sundy Best, and as the featured blues act (West Virginia), Hopmonk (California), and many more in the Midwest and West Coast. Noteable local gigs with Slidin’ Delta include, Gold Hill Inn, Buffalo Rose, Mapleton Hill Porch Festival, and the Waterloo, to name a few. Drea has recorded one EP with Slidin’ Delta called, Fires and Floods, one solo EP, Goin' Crazy Blues, and some hired studio work. Drea is described as one of a kind, writing artful songs out of her life experiences, who has been said to play the harmonica like some of the best, and sings like an old soul. Drea also teaches the harmonica and has a youtube channel which is gaining followers at a very rapid rate.
