The Symbols are a popular rock/soul/blues/funk trio from Fort Collins, Colorado with an undeniable raw talent and energy, combined with a knack for writing great songs. Founded in 2011 by vocalist/bass-player Mer Sal and guitar virtuoso Jasco (Blinddog Smokin'), The Symbols pack a mean punch with touring clinician drummer Don Stahl (Joey Dee and the Starliters, Damon Fowler).

The Symbols write, record, and perform songs that have inspired movie soundtracks, public service announcements, and commercial advertisements. Many of the band's songs sound like something you might hear on the modern radio. The Symbols feel an intellectual and spiritual influence from modern day Jeff Beck, with deep-pocket grooves, and progressive female croon/neo-soul vocals that could be recommended if you like Amy Winehouse or Jay Kay. Critics have referred to the sound made by The Symbols as "rollicking," "rocking and danceable," yet at the same time "chill and zen." The crooning, jazzing vocals and guitar string-bending/whammy bar manipulations coming out of this band can be heard nowhere else. One night a fan of The Symbols coined their sound “Spiritual Porn Rock”, and it stuck.

The Custom Shop, from Louisville, CO, plays the blues, rock, R&B and Motown as well as its edgier original take in those genres.

The founder of The Custom Shop, Murat started playing guitar at 14. His musical influences range from the blues legends Howlin' Wolf, Freddie King, Peter Green,, Mike Bloomfield, Luther Allison, Buddy Whittington and Gary Moore to the hard rockers Queen, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Slash and Randy Rhoads.

Murat was born to a Turkish father and Turkish-American mother in Turkey, where he lived through his youth. After having spent over a decade on the East Coast, Murat has been residing in Louisville, Colorado, with his wife and two daughters since 2000.

During the day, Murat is Professor of Economics at the University of Colorado at Boulder, a Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labor in Bonn, Germany and the treasurer of the Mile High Blues Society.

Cat Jerky plays an eclectic mix of music ranging from Johnny Cash to Black Sabbath. We're a rock/funk/country/ska/disco/reggae/soul band based out of Longmont, Colorado.

Seating is on a first come, first serve basis. We highly recommend dinner reservations in the Dickens Tavern (downstairs) before the show for those guests wishing to have a pleasant sit down dinner with larger tables, linens, etc. Doors upstairs in the Opera House are typically at 7 pm unless otherwise specified.

Seats are limited inside the Dickens Opera House…

Be sure to come early, when the doors open, if you would like a hi-top table and/or booth seating.

You can order off of our full tavern menu from one of our professional servers; however, we are set up as a concert venue for this show – we do not want you to arrive and be disappointed if all seating has been either reserved “or” taken on a first-come, first-serve basis.
